Title: Health Systems and Outpatient Partnerships
Speaker: Kris Shepard, Senior Vice President, ASC Strategy & Operations at Advocate Health
Intro: Kris is Senior Vice President, ASC Strategy & Operations at Advocate Health, one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the United States. He leads enterprise-level strategy and operations across Advocate’s ambulatory surgery center and outpatient footprint, working at the intersection of health systems, physician groups, and value-driven care delivery.
With deep experience scaling outpatient platforms, structuring health system–MSO partnerships, and aligning clinical, operational, and financial incentives, Kris brings a pragmatic, operator’s perspective on how health systems evaluate, build, and manage ambulatory and ASC partnerships. His work spans growth strategy, joint ventures, physician alignment, operational integration, and long-term sustainability of outpatient networks.
In this session, Kris will share how large health systems think about outpatient partnerships today—what works, what fails, and what MSO leaders need to understand to collaborate effectively with health systems at scale.
