Managing Director, BRG Healthcare Policy Practice
John Barkett is a Managing Director in BRG’s Healthcare Policy practice where he counsels health care stakeholders on a broad range of health policy issues. Before joining BRG, John was the Senior Policy Advisor on the White House Domestic Policy Council, Senior Director of Policy Affairs for Willis Towers Watson, a staffer on the House Ways & Means Health Subcommittee and the HHS Office of Health Reform, and an analyst at Medica Healthcare Plans, Inc. He contributed to the drafting, passage, and implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (2022) and the Affordable Care Act (2010). John earned an MBA in health care management from the Wharton School and graduated cum laude in economics from Harvard College.
